During this incredible 10 day/9 night adventure, we'll travel by private air conditioned vehicles across Jordan, staying in 5-star accommodations, and tasting the signature dishes of local cuisine (including a cooking class) along the way.

Together with our local language guide, we'll start in Amman, exploring ancient ruins and lively souks, then wander the ancient Roman city of Jerash (one of the best preserved Roman sites outside of Italy). Marvel at the rose-carved beauty and a New 7 Wonders of the World site, Petra, before venturing into the red sands of Wadi Rum for breathtaking desert landscapes and starlit nights.

Relax in the healing waters of the Dead Sea, take in the sweeping views from Mount Nebo, and admire the stunning mosaics of Madaba. Finally, we'll venture to Aqaba, where the Red Sea’s beaches and vibrant coral reefs await. Jordan is a perfect blend of history, culture, and natural wonders!

Get your spot confirmed with a deposit of $500 USD per person and choose how to pay your total balance (surcharges vary 0% for ACH,  2.9% for Credit Cards, and 3.9% for AMEX).

After your deposit, you can immediately pay the rest of your balance in full, or for your convenience via no interest (0%) installments of any amount at any time (credit card surcharges still apply). Final payments are due no later than June 30, 2025.

Payment Methods

We welcome payments for your trip either via ACH (electronic payments from a USA bank account) or Credit Card.

To help us keep trip costs more affordable for you, surcharges for all payments are not included in the trip package price, and you are encouraged to select the payment method that suits your needs. For example, if you receive international travel coverage insurance for purchasing with a specific credit card, then booking with a credit card may be the best option for you.

There is no surcharge for ACH electronic payments, while Credit Cards will add 2.9% to each transaction/automatic payment (3.9% for AMEX). All payments must be made through the WeTravel platform. We do not accept checks or alternative methods of payment.

Securing "cancel for any reason" travel insurance at the time of booking is strongly recommended for protection against unforeseen cancellations or accidents. If paying for your trip with a credit card (see payments section above), check for coverage benefits that may apply for international travel.

For travelers who reside within the European Union, Switzerland or USA the requirement to purchase travel insurance cannot be compulsory due to local regulations.

However, the purchase of travel insurance is still highly recommended, and travelers from these regions who decline travel insurance when travelling outside of their home region must sign a Travel Insurance Waiver Form at the Group Meeting (on day 1 of trip), recognizing personal responsibility for emergency medical and repatriation costs should they arise.

Cancellations and Refunds

Our cancellation policy is based on the days until the trip starts.

Once you have booked your spot, your initial trip deposit is non-refundable, but can be used for ANY future trip with Newstate Nomads Group Trips (NNGT). We highly recommend purchasing trip insurance that provides "cancel for any reason" or other coverage for non-refundable trip costs. 

If you cancel when your spot is confirmed and outside of 120 days until departure, you can receive a trip credit for your down payment. 

Any additional payments above and beyond the deposit are fully refundable until 120 days prior to the trip start date. 

• Cancellation prior to 120 days; we will hold the deposit amount as a credit towards future trips with NNGT

• Cancellation between 119-55 days prior to departure will incur a 25% cancellation fee 

• Cancellation 54 days or less prior to travel will incur a 100% cancellation fee

• No shows will be treated as a cancellation and will incur a 100% cancellation fee

Welcome to Amman! After arriving at Queen Alia International Airport, you'll be greeted steps from your arrival gate by a representative and assisted with your visa, arrival paperwork, retrieving your luggage, and clearing customs. Next, you'll be transferred to your hotel by private vehicle where you can get settled in and relax after your long journey. In the evening, come join our group for an included welcome dinner! Enjoy some delicious local cuisine, get to know your fellow travelers, and start building connections for the amazing adventure ahead.

Today's full-day adventures begin in Jerash, a well-preserved Roman city known as the "Pompeii of the East." Explore landmarks like Hadrian’s Arch, the Hippodrome, the Forum, the Temple of Artemis with its towering columns, the Colonnaded Street (there are more than 1,000 columns standing in Jerash), and the Nymphaeum.

Then, we'll head back to Amman, stopping by the Amman Citadel, featuring Hercules Temple and the Umayyad Palace. We'll also visit the blue-domed King Abdullah Mosque, explore the Roman Amphitheater, vibrant downtown markets, the Archaeological Museum*, and Darat al Fnoun. You'll stroll along Rainbow Street, Al Wakalat Street, and Jabal Al Weibdeh, soaking in the city's culture and charm. 

We'll finish the day at Beit Sitti, Jordan’s premier cook-and-dine experience. Here, we will learn to prepare a variety of seasonal Arabic dishes.

Today, we'll say goodbye to Amman, driving to Mt.  Nebo, the place where it is believed Moses gazed at the promised land before he died. We will visit an old monastery; overlook the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea and parts of the Holy Land. 

Next, we'll head to the town of Madaba, home of the famous 'Map Mosaic,' a 6th century map of Palestine in St. George’s Church. We'll learn about the art of mosaic making and you'll have time for a little shopping and lunch on your own before we head to the Dead Sea for a soak at the private beach of the resort!

Before we head to Little Petra (a less visited area featuring similar rock carved structures as the well-known Petra), and after our included breakfast at the resort, you will have some choices to make! You can either enjoy a leisurely morning soaking in the Dead Sea OR you can set out on an adventure to Wadi Al Mujib*.

Wadi Al Mujib Hike Info: This moderate intensity trail starts at Mujib Adventure Center where you will take the cantilevered walkway and follow the course of the river between the towering sandstone cliffs to the base of a large waterfall. Depending on seasonal rainfall levels, the gorge may contain pools deep enough for swimming, and wading/hiking through water. Proper footwear is required. Activity will be weather and condition dependent. 

We'll then head towards Petra with a visit to Little Petra along the way. Dinner is included at our hotel, conveniently located in the gateway town to Petra, Wadi Musa.

Get ready for one of the highlights of our trip... a visit to Petra, the ancient Nabatean capital, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and Middle Eastern treasure. We'll join our guide for a downhill walk through the 1.2km Siq, passing carvings and tombs, to the iconic Treasury. Together, we'll explore the Street of Facades, Roman Theatre, Colonnaded Street, and Qasr Bint. After a group lunch inside Petra, enjoy free time to discover more, like the Byzantine Church, Temple of the Winged Lions, or climb 800 steps to the Monastery (we HIGHLY recommend this)! You can either walk back the gradual uphill path to the Petra front gate entrance or optionally pay for a ride on a golf-cart* back to the top. Either way, the rest of the evening is all yours to explore the town of Wadi Musa and enjoy dinner on your own.

For a magical evening, return to the front gate to experience Petra by Night*. Walk the candlelit Siq to the Treasury, illuminated by hundreds of candles, for an unforgettable ambiance and accompanying live musical performance.

Today, we're heading to the desert and another UNESCO World Heritage Site in Jordan! Upon arrival in Wadi Rum, we'll drop our luggage at the beautiful Sun City Camp and have a delicious lunch while our Stargazing Bubble Tent accommodations are prepared for us. Later in the afternoon, we'll take a 4x4 tour through the scenic desert of Wadi Rum, visiting key sites like Lawrence’s Spring, Khazali Canyon, Little Bridge, Um Fruth Rock Bridge, and Burdah Arch. Enjoy the unique desert landscapes, climb sand dunes, and see rock formations up close.

We'll end the day watching the sunset before heading back to camp to warm up with hot tea by the fire. Then we'll have a delicious Bedouin feast; Zarb is a traditional Bedouin style of cooking where marinated meat and vegetables are buried in an underground oven. After dinner, head back to your cozy bubble tent or head out on a guided stargazing expedition* with provided telescopes!

This morning, after a delicious breakfast at the camp, we'll head out with a Bedouin guide for a one-hour camel ride to experience travel across the desert in the style of the Bedouin nomadic people. If you're interested in a sunrise hot air balloon ride* above the Wadi Rum, there will also be an opportunity for that today.

After saying goodbye to our gracious local hosts at the camp, we'll head towards the Red Sea and the city of Aqaba. On arrival to the seaside city, we'll board a boat and have some fun on the water where lunch is included and you can swim or snorkel in an area renowned for natural reefs and wildlife! 

Our fun at sea completed, we'll head back to our beachside 5-star hotel with onsite spa for a group dinner.

Today, we'll pack up and road trip back to Amman, where our journey began. We'll have plenty of stops along the way for a Turkish coffee, bathroom breaks and snacks! We'll have one last farewell dinner as a group before our incredible trip comes to an end.
