I truly had the best time - this trip was a perfect blend! Starting with the river cruise was a great warm up to Safari and all of the animals, and the guides and crew were absolutely amazing. It was such a gem of a find, a great way to unwind after long travels, and really built the excitement for the land safaris. The stay at Mdluli lodge was incredible; every experience there was life changing in the best possible way. Every staff that I encountered was helpful and engaged and offering to go above and beyond, the setting was breathtaking, and learning the story behind the lodge made it so much more meaningful to be there. It was so apparent from the first moment that Katelyn and Howard put so much thought and time into planning this trip, and it shone through every second!

The three of us had a wonderful time. The variety in the trip activities makes it hard to decide what was more exciting. Although watching a mama lion drink by the Chobe River with her three cubs in tow was maybe the top experience. The small group experience was so much fun!

It was an incredible experience. Katelyn and Howard did a great job with every detail. Our local guide, hotels, meals, excursions….all of it was top notch. I will never forget seeing a sunset in the Sahara Desert on a camel! Can’t wait to book another adventure with them!

This was my second trip with Newstate Adventures, and once again Katelyn and Howard proved why they are in a league of their own. From the cobalt blues of Chefchaouen to the ancient medinas to the vastness of the Sahara at sunset, every moment was amazing. I loved the culture, the food, the history, and the kindness of the people. One of the greatest gifts of this trip was our guide, Youssef. He was with us from beginning to end, and he was extraordinary. He made sure everything ran seamlessly, always one step ahead, always watching out for us. He shared his country with such pride and depth – history, traditions, humor, and heart. He cared for us like family. Warm, funny, charming, and endlessly patient, he elevated every single day. You can tell he’s not just a guide; he’s a true ambassador of Morocco. We were lucky to have him. Traveling with this group, exploring this breathtaking country, and being supported by such incredible hosts made this journey unforgettable. I’m already dreaming of my next adventure with the Newstates.
