Premium 3-night cruise down the Nile River
If you're joining us from the Jordan Group Trip, we'll head to Amman Airport for our flights to Cairo (not included, morning flights recommended). If you're joining us from elsewhere, we also recommend a morning arrival into Cairo.
On arrival, we'll meet our driver and hit the ground running. First, we'll explore the Egyptian Museum. This is more than a museum, it's an experience and fully immersive in Egyptian culture. This is a great way to dive into the culture before our full day exploring tomorrow.
Next, we'll visit the historic Cairo Citadel before heading to the hotel to check in and freshen up before dinner.
Join the group for a Welcome Dinner Cruise down the Nile River in Cairo (complete with "Tanoura," a traditional Egyptian Folk Dance, singing and other entertainment) to officially kick off the adventures ahead!
First, we'll journey to Saqqara, a vast necropolis filled with 4,600-year-old tombs and pyramids, including the famous Step Pyramid of Djoser, Egypt’s oldest. From there, we continue to Memphis, the first capital of ancient Egypt, now an open-air museum showcasing towering statues, crumbling temples, and royal tombs. Standing before the colossal statue of Ramesses II, we take in the scale of Egypt’s grandeur before returning to our hotel, still in awe of the day’s discoveries! The evening is yours to enjoy.
This morning, we'll take a short 30-minute drive straight to Egypt’s ancient wonders, the Giza Plateau, with our guide. We'll stand in awe of the Great Pyramid—the last surviving Wonder of the Ancient World before exploring the Pyramid of Khafre, the best-preserved of the three, and the smaller Pyramid of Mycerinus. Next, come face-to-face with the iconic Sphinx, its lion’s body and pharaoh’s head guarding the plateau for thousands of years.
Finally, we'll head to Khan el-Khalili, a bustling bazaar district full of intricate handicrafts, tantalizing spices, and Egyptian street food.
Tonight, you'll have free time to grab dinner on your own or with new friends from the group. We'll be up bright (or dark) and early tomorrow morning for our flight to Aswan.

Upon arrival, we'll meet our guide and set off to explore the stunning Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis, a symbol of magic and healing. Next, we visit the impressive Aswan High Dam, a modern engineering marvel that tames the Nile, providing flood control and hydroelectric power for Egypt.
After taking in Aswan’s highlights, we head to the riverbank and board our scenic cruise ship, our home for the next three nights. We enjoy lunch on board before swapping the cruise ship for a felucca, a traditional wooden sailboat, and gliding along the Nile.
Experience the magic of the Nile River by embarking on a traditional felucca sailing adventure. These charming wooden sailboats glide gracefully across the water, offering a serene escape from the bustling world.
We’ll start the day with a delicious breakfast on board as we cruise to the Temple of Kom Ombo, a unique double temple dedicated to Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus, the falcon god. We’ll explore its twin halls and courtyards before stopping at the crocodile museum to see ancient mummified crocodiles!
Back on the ship, we’ll enjoy lunch while sailing to Edfu, where a horse-drawn carriage takes us through the lively streets to the stunning Temple of Edfu, one of Egypt’s best-preserved temples. After admiring its grand columns and intricate carvings, we’ll ride back to the cruise ship, relaxing over dinner as we continue toward Luxor.
All meals included on board the Nile River Cruise
This morning, we’ll have the option to take a breathtaking hot-air balloon ride* over Luxor at sunrise. If you opt in, you'll wake up early, head to the launch site, and float above the city as the first light of day illuminates the Nile and ancient ruins below.

After landing, we’ll dive into history at the Valley of the Kings, exploring the beautifully decorated tombs of pharaohs like Tutankhamun. Then, we’ll visit Deir el-Bahari, home to Queen Hatshepsut’s stunning mortuary temple, before stopping at the towering Colossi of Memnon.
Back on the cruise, we’ll enjoy lunch and a relaxing afternoon. We can lounge by the pool, grab a drink at the bar, or even venture into Luxor for more exploring.

At Karnak, walking down the Avenue of Sphinxes, we’ll be greeted by towering columns, intricate carvings, and colossal statues. Inside the Great Hypostyle Hall, we’ll stand in awe of its 134 massive columns covered in ancient hieroglyphs.
Following the Avenue of Sphinxes, we’ll continue to Luxor Temple, once a grand center for worship and royal ceremonies. We’ll admire its impressive statues and obelisks before stepping inside to explore its sanctuaries and chapels dedicated to Amun-Ra, Mut, and Khonsu.
